PS3’s hard drive

February 11, 2006

Business Week reports that the PS3 may have a hard drive even though earlier comments by Ken Kutaragi noted that it wouldn’t because they couldn’t possibly include one that would meet demands. Maybe not, but it would still behoove Sony to include one, at least in one configuration. Sure, including some minimalist hard drive as Microsoft did wouldn’t turn the PS3 into a TiVo-killer, but the ability to store a modest music library and the convenience afforded by integrated game-saving and content would be well worth Sony’s effort.
